File Requirements

Preparing Your Files

Great prints start with great files. Follow these guidelines and your transfers will come out sharp and vibrant.

Accepted file types

DTF Sublimation
PNG (best) ✅ Transparent background ✅
PDF, SVG, PSD, AI/EPS ✅ ✅
JPG / WEBP ❌ Not accepted ✅

Why no JPGs for DTF? JPGs can’t have transparent backgrounds. With DTF, anything that isn’t transparent prints as white ink, so a JPG would come out as a white box behind your design.

Resolution: 300 DPI at print size

Your image needs enough pixels for the size you print it. Multiply the print width in inches by 300:

Print size Minimum image width
3" (pocket / hat) 900 px
4" (left chest) 1200 px
10" (adult shirt) 3000 px
12" (oversized / back) 3600 px

The builder checks this for you. Each design gets a colored outline:

  • 🟢 Green: 300 DPI or better. Perfect.
  • 🟡 Yellow: 250+ DPI. Usually fine.
  • 🔴 Red / ⚫ Black: under 200 DPI. Will likely print blurry. Make the design smaller or use a larger file.

Tip: downloading an image from Google or Pinterest and enlarging it won’t work. Small images can’t be made sharp by stretching them. The builder’s upscale tool helps with slightly small files, but it can’t save very low-quality images.

DTF tips

  • Use a transparent background. Remove the white or colored box around your design, or use the builder’s background remover tool.
  • Avoid soft fades, glows, and drop shadows. Semi-transparent areas can print speckled or patchy. Solid colors and crisp edges print best.
  • Keep fine details printable: lines at least 0.5 mm (0.02") thick, and text at least 0.25" tall.

Sublimation tips

  • Upload your design facing the normal way. We mirror it for printing, so you don’t need to flip it.
  • White doesn’t print in sublimation. White areas take on the color of your blank, so use white or light blanks.
  • Prints look dull on paper. Colors brighten when pressed.

Colors

Screens and printers show color differently, so expect slight variation from what you see on your monitor. Very bright neon colors and metallic effects can’t be reproduced with standard inks.

Artwork rights

By uploading, you confirm you own or have permission to use the artwork. We can’t print trademarked or copyrighted material you don’t have rights to, such as sports team logos, characters, or brand logos, and we may cancel and refund orders that include it.
